Names like Barney Oldfield, Bill Miller and Ralph DePalma were legendary.

The test of man versus machine brought crowds everywhere from local oval dirt tracks to the famous Indianapolis brickyard for the annual 500 mile endurance classic.In homage to those great race cars of the past, this 1929 Buick Speedster/Racer was professionally built 6 years ago.

Its pedigree is made of several classic-era marques.

The chassis consists of a 1929 Buick frame with Pierce Arrow front and rear-end.

The engine is a 1952 Buick Roadmaster Valve-In-Head 320 cubic inch Straight Eight, factory rated for 170 horsepower at 3800 RPM with a 1941 Buick compound carbueration manifold and dual Stromberg carbuerators for added kick, mated to a 1937 Pontiac transmission and 1953 GMC bus steering gear.

The 4-wheel brakes are period mechanical type.

12 volt electrical with electric cooling fan for the radiator.

Electric fuel pump.

Stewart-Warner gauges.

The engine runs strong and fast.

Easily capable of 80-100 mph (if you dare!) Transmission shifts perfectly.

Steering is light and easy.

Brakes stop the car smooth and straight.

Throaty exhaust that tells everyone to get out of the way! It is a kick to drive and really takes you back in time.

This is a BIG, impressive car (about 18 feet long) that draws attention where ever it goes.The body was hand formed and is ALL STEEL.

The finish is wonderful and all signage on the car is hand-painted.

For touring or vintage speedster endurance runs, there is a large storage area behind the seat that extends to the back of the body.

Everything was done in period style for an authentic showing and driving experience.

It is titled, licensed and registered as a 1929 Buick.

It is street legal with working headlights and tail lights and seat belts and can be driven anywhere.No corners were cut and no expense was spared to make this the ultimate 1920’s styled racing machine.
