Old laquer paint job (perfect patina), body’s got an oil change sticker on the door jamb from a standard gas station with a date of 1962, so the paint on the body is atleast older then 62 (see pic).
The wood on the body is original as well as the windshield stantions, etc…
Grill shell, insert, and radiator are original 1932 as the BLC headlights.
Doors and trunk lid line up and shut real nice.
Chassis: after market 32 rails, deuce frame company center section.
Original front Model A crossmember, straight square tube rear crossmember.
Front suspension has an after market axle and spring, original 1932 split wishbones.
1947 spindles and brakes, reworked original F100 shock mounts.
Rear Suspension: 9″ Ford rear end.
Cut and narrowed and centered for correct look.
Lower rear wish bones are 1947 Ford front that I cut the ends off and installed bushings and installed upper trilink bars (its basically a 4 link set up so it can withstand alot of torque).
1940 front spring was used for rear spring set up.
Two stage master cylinder, steering box is a 1933 original (its got some play but works fine) has an old original PSI steering wheel.
Motor: is a 1970 Chevy truck motor 350, bored 60 over, R/V cam.
Original early Offy intake and early 2 jet rochester carbs.
Malory distributer with Pertronics ignition (its been 100% reliable for 12 yrs).
Extremely rare valve covers, they are 283 Marine valve covers that were made for boats only (these are the only set that I have ever seen).
Original Ram Horn exhaust manifolds.
Transmission: 4 speed Saginal with original Hurst shifter.
Exhaust 12 inch glass packs with original motorcycle cocktail tail pipes, sounds extremely nice.
Wheels & Tires: 16 inch rims.
Tires are 5/50 sixteens-7/50 sixteens, new Firestones that were shaved for perfect circumference.
Car comes with an original and extremely rare Bob Lee top.
No material, but original wooden bows and hinges.
Also, an extremely rare oval beveled glass rear window and frame (from a 30′s convertible).
I built this car about twelve yrs ago, its the first hot rod I built.
Its always been a reliable car that we have enjoyed for all these years.
Its never been to a car show, cruise night, or swapmeet.
So when people have rarely seen it they always think its a new build.
Its extremely fast but real easy and safe to drive.
Roadster is listed for sale locally, I reserve the right to end the auction early if necessary.
Thanks.
