Seller states:
Rare 1930 Buick Serries 68 Doctor’s Coupe in good running condition.
This was purchased from the estate of a “master technician” along with two others and they were all mechanically sound as a result of his years of care.
We were able to perform minor service and drive it as it was but last winter I began a proper restoration and it is nearing completion.
The chrome has been redone including the grill shell, cowl lights, radiator badge, hubcaps, cowl trim, and bumpers.
The radiator was sent to a shop that boiled it in chemicals and cleaned it, pressure tested it, etc…
The hood, front fenders, trunk, lower radiator pan, engine pans, and headlight bar were all sent to a professional bodyshop where they were stripped to bare metal, epoxy primered, and painted in two stage black with clear.
A new reproduction wiring harness was purchased from Harness’s Unlimited and installed.
The interior was professionally reupholstored by the previous owner and shows minimal wear.
The aforementioned front body section is not reinstalled on the car with the grill as it should be sent to a proper bodyshop to spray the main body in it’s original brown color before reassembly.
Since I cannot afford to go further I herein offer this car to a new owner who can complete the minor finish work and respray instead of reassembling it without painting the main body section and doors due to my lack of funds.
Additionally all wood frame repairs are completed on the main body so door frames, windshield posts, roof lattice, etc…
are solid and complete.
The car was nice enough when I began to simply reassemble, but it deserves to be completed properly, and hopefully someone will take over at this point.
Also included is an extra transmission, carburator, heater, complete tool set, jack, engine crank, and many additional spare parts.
We are selling it for close to our investment so please bid if you are serious and commited to this transaction.
