Ok this is pretty cool, they customized this model A and added in a truck bed where the rumble seat was, way back in the day. This would make a really gool car just get it running and leave it like it is.
96 800×600 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 1930 Model A Ford Deluxe Coupe – Barn Find.
This car has an interesting history.
It is a genuine barn find from Montana, having sat in an outbuilding for approx.
It was retrieved from the building (in 2011) and the “finder†applied to the state to obtain ownership.
It was cleaned up, motor flushed and it fired right up.
This car has a Model T bed installed into what was the rumble seat area.
I learned this was a conversion done during the WWII time period to afford the owner additional gas rations.
Research shows it to be somewhat common but have no way to determine how many may have been converted.
I had never seen one before I stumbled upon this one.
I’m sure someone out there knows more about this than I.
I was going to go the traditional Hot Rod route with this car but feel somewhat guilty disturbing this historical car as I began to move that direction.
The car is very solid with very minimal rust in the quarter panels; the passenger door has had a patch panel already installed some time ago.
It is missing the door glass and regulators in both doors the rest of the glass is there and appears to be original including the windshield.
The floors are there and solid, fenders are solid, doors open and shut nicely.
Tires would need to be replaced for safety sake.
It’s missing one spare wheel and tire.
It has a new leak-less water pump, rebuilt Zenith carb, rebuilt generator, gas tank cleaned, tune up, timing and battery.
It starts runs, shifts, drives and stops.
It is an overall solid car at 82 years old and may be better suited to a restoration than a Hot Rod but I’ll let you decide.
