seller states:
I have for sale a 1930 Ford Model AA 157 inch wheel base truck with a 1930 Blindback car mounted with a 1930 Woods Hydrallic Dump Bed off of a 131 inch Ford Model AA truck. Everything on the drivetrain is original. This restoration and build took 2 years of research and 3 years to build. It has 785 miles on it since the completion of the restoration and has been in 3 magazines and 2 calenders. It has a rare stainless steel radiator shell and front bumper. The rear fenders are Beavertails that were cut in half and widened. The running boards and approns where lengthened to fit the body better. This is the third Model A I have restored and I feel its time to move on to the next project.
My Uncle was a master mechanic and fabricator all his life! He’s had shots of him and his Harley Davidsons in magazines like “In The Wind #10″. Right now he has a 1946 HD KnuckleHead with an original sidecar. He Looked at this and since my grandfather has owned quite a few different trucks and cars over the years, and my uncle Fred was known for his mechanical ability including but not short of building a non-working model of the Pogue 200 mpg carburator as well as a sealed vapor carburator of his own design that did get 98mpg, but took to much heat to get the fuel into that state making it unstable. Anyway about this dump truck, he said he believed that it was an idea the automobile companies had for tow trucks, but it just never quite get put out that early on.. I think that would be the best way to word it so’s to make his whole complete thought condensed into just a snippet of our long conversation we had about it..
