Here we have a mostly original 1932 Ford all steel 3 Window Coupe built hotrod style several years ago. The paint is basecoat-clear coat black cherry with a dual red pinstripe and the interior is the original style Belford cloth with a red seat cover to protect the upholstery from stains. Well there are a lot of plastic fake 1932 Ford Coupes out there and there are a lot of street-rodded 1932 Ford coupes but there aren’t many un-chopped un-channeled unfilled all steel 3 Window Coupes left. This one is done and I suspect it would cost a big chunk of time and money to duplicate.
The chassis is an original unmodified 1932 Ford with numbers matching title. The front axle is an original ‘heavy’ 1932 Ford with original mechanical brakes. The steering is original rebuilt with new or select gears and bearings. The rear end is the later V-8 style rebuilt with NOS FORD 3.54 gears and N.O.S. Ford bearings. The front and rear springs are original 1932 Ford but reversed eye; bought them on EBAY and a couple of leafs removed front and back also. Shocks and arms are rebuilt original 1932 Ford. The engine came out of a restored 1946 Ford that was street-rodded and also I used the gears from the 1946 transmission in a 1939 tranny case and added new bearings. That is an early Edelbrock manifold with heat riser option. Note the dual exhaust with placement thru rear crossmember on both sides. A rebuilt 12V generator charges at 13.4 volts. The wheels are 1935 Ford powder cote and the tires are new Firestone 6.00 and 7-00 16. The body and floor have a couple repair panels professionally replaced and the whole body was epoxy painted. The trunk lid does have a new metal skin from Steve’s resto. A new wood kit was installed. The seat is an original 1932 Ford 3 Window with new LeBaron- Bonney wood; springs, and upholstery. The dash is an original 1932 Ford 3 window. I do not have the ash tray as I don’t smoke. The gauges are original 1932 Ford. The window regulators and door latches are original 1932 Ford 3 Window rebuilt of course. All of the window garnish moldings are original 1932 Ford 3 Window; they have been wood grained as has the dash and 1939 Ford Deluxe steering wheel with working headlight and horn rod. The windshield glass is tinted all other glass is clear. The windshield frame is new on original 1932 Ford 3 Window hinges and slides. The hood is a 25 side louver and 44 top louver. The front fenders are original 1932 Ford and the rear fenders and running boards are re-pops from the V-8 shop. The headlights, tail lights, and cowl lights are all original 1932 Ford 3 Window items. I have the original horn painted body color, never installed it goes with the sale. Also the original metal glove box goes with as I used a re-pop fiber one because the tin one causes rattles.Well here is your chance to buy a really stunning survivor with just a few changes. Did I mention the motor mount brackets are engineered to bolt; not weld to the frame…just an example of conservative changes made. The reserve has been lowered from a year ago by 10%…happy bidding to all the 1932 Ford 3 Window fans. Payment in full money transfer before you get the car or the title. OK to arrange shipping for 14 days after full payment.
