Seller states:
1932 Ford Tudor with the famous Flathead V8.
The car very much appears to be 100% original and complete.
It is amazingly solid and straight with just a handful of little dings.
There is no deep rust, just surface, as the pictures show.
No holes or deep pits.
- Original cloth top has a couple of quarter size holes but intact otherwise.- Interior is complete although the upholstery is shot.- From what we can see the wood floors are in great shape still- Has an Arvin hot water heater, not sure if it was installed a dealer or later.- Original Flathead V8 with a Detroit Lubricators Carb- Radiator was rubbed by the fan and is probably no good.- Drivers door glass is badly discolored, all other glass in good shape.- Rear window has a pull down blind.- Has the original instruction manual with cover for the car.- Odometer reads 51747- Serial #: 18-45495 So here’s the story that goes with this car.
My dad and I purchased the car last year from the original owner’s nephew.
He told us that his uncle had bought the car new in Ohio and drove it until 1949 when he purchased another car.
He then parked this ’32 and it has not been driven much since if at all.
Sometime around 1980 the nephew acquired the car, brought it to northern Indiana and stuck it in his barn where it sat until last year when we dug it out.
The title was long ago lost and it will sell with a bill of sale only.
The hood and grill were off so my dad put the front end back together once we got it home.
Other than that we have not touched it, it still has the “however many year old dirt and dust” on it.
We have no idea the condition of the engine other than it is stuck.
The carb linkage moves nice and freely and the brakes work.
No evidence of it being wrecked or repaired anywhere.
Bottom line is the car is solid, solid, solid.
The fenders have none of the typical cracks, and only 1 or 2 dents, it is quite amazing how straight it is after all these years.
We had plans of getting it roadworthy and driving however, another project of ours has got our attention so this one needs to go.
