Seller states:

“BAREly Legal” 1934 Ford Truck just finished by Dave Bonin of Bonified Customs in Fairborn, Ohio.

Short story about the truck…

I dropped it off at Dave Bonin’s shop as a roller that needed alot redone & so I asked Dave to tell me what he needed to build it the way he wanted it to be & let me know what he needed to do so.

Dave worked on it for about 6 months & finally finished it in April.

He took it on its 1st test drive & didn’t make it 2 miles before getting hit by an old lady in a minivan which damaged the right rear wheel & hubcap.

Dave got it all back together just in time for Beatersville in Louisville KY where he got a top 13 award out of over 550 cars, with no interior.Lil about the builder ..

His name is Dave Bonin & he operates Bonified Customs in Fairborn Ohio.

Dave started doing hydraulics on cars in 1995 & air ride in 1998.

He opened up his shop in 2001 doing mostly air ride, mini trucks, suicide doors & hydro hoppers & dancers.

Dave started doing custom hot rod fabrication and build outs in 2005 and is doing many full restorations & hot rod and custom full frame builds now.

I recommend Dave to anyone looking for a builder/fabricator that understands the art and skill and has the vision to create truly one-off custom hot rods.

Dave is an expert welder and true craftsman.

Dave can be reached at 937-754-0775.Truck details… Cool doesn’t come close to describing this truck.

Many folks describe it as the Jimmy Shine twin but like this truck much more.

Truck is registered in Ohio and has a clean/clear 1934 Ford Truck title.

The 34 Ford cab and 52 Chevy bed were pulled from a barn in Northern New Jersey.

The cab is an original 1934 Ford truck, the frame is a custom boxed frame with 34 horns painted gloss black enamel and the cab and windshield have been chopped 4”.

The visor has 10 2 1/2″ holes punched in it.

The 52 Chevy bed was cut & sectioned to fit proportionately with a 50s F100 tailgate with a handmade, bead rolled and louvered panel by Mike at Cornfield Customs in Loveland, OH.

Spun aluminum 10gal tank is mounted in the bed.

Bullet taillights are hidden in the rear bedrolls and there’s a swinging license plate bracket mounted under the gate in case you hit something.

The floors & tranny tunnel are handmade.

The body has been sanded down to bare metal & oiled up so it doesn’t rust (too fast).

Striped by Donny Blades of Medway, Ohio.

It has a few patch panels just tacked in for that “not to perfect” look.

The 1934 dash houses Classic Instruments gauges (oil pressure, speedo and water temp) along with a switch for the electric fan, headlight and ingnition key.

The chrome grill shell that looks like it was made for the truck is a 1948 Jaguar Mark IV (NOT CHEAP) with custom drilled brackets to mount it & dual 8”electric fans hidden inside it.

1932 Ford script commercial headlights with integrated turn signals. The engine is a 1949 Ford 8BA Flathead with stock 8BA heads, an Iskanderian cam and triple matching Holley 94 8BA carbs freshly rebuilt with new chrome velocity stacks and screens sitting on a tumble polished aluminum period triple deuce intake with ball bearing progressive linkage and handmade copper fuel lines.

Custom red, white and black cloth spark plug wires with Ra Jah ends.

Hand made ceramic coated and tumble polished individual headers w/no baffles.

Motor has new plugs, fresh oil and tranny fluid.

Rebuilt 40 Ford hydraulic brakes, (4) 37 Ford 17 inch gloss black wire wheels with B.F.G.

Silvertown 5.50 blackwall bias tires trimmed with 34 Ford center caps.

The window regulators are in good working order and the door latches work correctly and doors shut tight.

Not installed but included is a brand new door window channel and felt kit.

Original door opener handles and window risers are in good shape.

Chrome door mirrors.

Safety wire rear window glass.

The interior is new but simple oxblood roll and pleat with black piping from Dennis Gamble of Sew What in Dayton, Ohio.

This truck is an absolute perfect collection piece or weekend cruiser.Truck runs like a sewing machine with an attitude and drives like a truck.

Anyone over 6’ tall will be a little cramped inside.

We did everything possible to provide as much head and leg room in the interior as we could.

An ungodly amount of man hours went into this build not to mention the period parts and attention to aesthetics.

If you’re looking for a cheap hot rod, keep looking, this is not it.

Just being upfront and honest.

Truck is solid and built to last, it will provide years of enjoyment and hot rod fun.

If you want to be the envie of all your friends, here’s your chance.

Truck has been sought after for magazine shoots and music videos already.

We need to sell and keep moving on other projects so we have passed on the opportunities.
