1949 CHEVY CLUB COUPE: This is a true ” old school” Hot Rod.
I purchased the car from an old gent who was 86 years young and had owned the car since 1975 at which time it was modified using a 1958 Chevy 235 6 cyl.
with a mild cam , Fenton 2 carb aluminium intake, and matching Fenton cast iron headers, and an electronic ignition was added in 1985.
All electrical is 12 volt with all gauges working.
After market stereo mounted under dash.
A 1969 Chevy fully synchronized 3 speed transmission and 1969 Chevelle driveshaft was used to a 1958 rear end with 3:56 gears.
He told me that this is how they did these cars back in the day when he was young and that he always wanted one.
It is a “VERY COOL” ride.
Body has no rust issues, paint is older acrylic enamel and has an excellent glossy finish.
(Marks you see on left rear skirt and fender are strictly reflections from pavement).
Rechromed grille and bumpers with nice stainless (left gravel shield has some scuff marks).
Floors and trunk are clean rust free originals.
Underside is very clean and painted black along with the frame.
All brand new tinted glass with new rubber and weatherstrips.
Interior is very nice with no wear or tear.
Perfect original steering wheel.
Recent clutch and brakes and car is equipped with turn signals and hazard flashers.
