Seller states:
You are bidding on a old school 1950 Cadillac 62 Series sedan, This is a cool Rat Rod that I’ve had for a few years and need to get rid of because the the economy in Michigan isn’t doing to good.
The Good: The car runs good and stops and has a 331 V8 in it, I put new brakes all the way around, new wheel cylinders, brake lines, parking brake cable and Master cylinder.
I also put seat belts in the back for my kids.
The floor has been completely redone and sealed with POR 15 as well as the frame.
The fuel lines and fuel pump are all new and the car has new shocks, leaf springs and shackles.
I had the fuel tank sealed and re-braised and also put POR 15 on it.
The interior is completely new in Rat Rod fashion, but the rubber around the doors and trunk has not been replaced. The tires on the car are fairly new and have a lot of tread left, but the hub caps are in rough shape.
The car is lowered three inches in the back and one inch in the front.
I put a completely new exhaust system from the manifolds back.
The car has a brand new 6 volt battery installed with a new oil filter.
I took the oil pan off the car and installed a new seal and painted so no leaks there.
The Bad: the trans has a small leak at the rear seal (it’s 60 yrs old).
The window on the back driver side is cracked as well as the back passenger side vent glass.
The paint is chipped in a few areas, but easily fixed with a brush or can.
The speedometer doesn’t work (but I do have a new cable) as well as the fuel gauge.
The shift selector is sloppy but it goes into gear no problem.
The radio doesn’t work but the knobs turn freely. The car runs good, but stumbles a little because I think it needs the 2 barrel carb rebuilt (accelerator pump).
The driver side door needs to be shimmed out as well.
The chrome on the car is okay, but it is a rat rod.
I do have the skirts for the rear wheels but never put them on, they would come with the car if sold, I also have the material for the trunk to re do the panels, but never got around to it.
I have a tri-power set up with freshly rebuilt Rochesters on the intake manifold ready to install, but I am asking 900.00 extra for that.
This car gets a lot of looks around town and also at shows, don’t pass up the rare old school Caddy!!!! Please feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer Happy Bidding……
