Seller states:
This was an altered wheelbase truck that was drag-raced from 1965 until 1966 or 67 as the “Damn Yankees or Damn Yankee”.
It was also in Popular Hot Rodding, ALL American Drags, ROD & CUSTOM, MODERN ROD and DRAG NEWS.
I purchased the truck in 1991, the original uni-body and straight axle were already gone, replaced by the full frame and rollcage.
It was a frame and the outside sheetmetal only, see pictures.
This truck now has a full frame with rollcage, Four-Link Rear suspension w/ narrowed Ford 9 inch.
, Mustang II front suspension, Rack and Pinion Steering,1981 Mustang steering column.
Truck has motor plates for a 460 Ford.
Motor mounts set up for 302 or 351 Windsor w/ C4 trans.
Rear wheelbase is forward 9 inches, front forward 5 inches, this was how it was raced in the ’60s The dash is a 1956 Ford, customized to fit the Ranchero.
We add New front Disc Brakes, Rotors and Calipers.
New windshield, new front and rear window seals and door seals.
New Cragar 15 X10 SS wheels (front Cragars in picture are gone)., CNC break pedal and dual master cylinders, Alston Wheelie bars, and Jaz Fuel cell.
The front fenders and hood are Fiberglass, so is the front bumper, this is the original front end from the ’60s.
There is no rust on the truck, the bed, wheeltubs, floor, trans tunnel and firewall are all new, custom made.
Our original plan was to make a Pro-Street truck.
Too many other project, time to sell this one.
