I like the color of this 1932 Ford, I am not sure if its just the pictures or what but the Wheels seem really far from the body.

Hot rod, street rod, rat rod, ratrod gasser custom, classic, vintage coupe.
Up for auction is a 1955 Chevy Bel Air coupe 4-door hot rod/rat rod named “flamethrower.” This car has been in multiple hot rod and street rod magazines, and has been in at least four movies, including “Confessions of a hotroddin’, pinstripin’, kustomizin’ teenage icon”
And
“Tales of the Rat Fink.” In that film, jay leno plays the voice of “flamethrower” while the car is being hand painted with wicked flames and pinstripes by a famous California car designer.
This car has all brand new running gear, just installed, including a new radiator, new Chevy 350 V8 engine with Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock four barrel carburetor, chrome oil pan, alternator, air cleaner and valve covers, new turbo 350 transmission, new drive shaft and differential. It also has twice pipes on the sides that throw flames out the exhaust when a switch is turned on inside the car. The engine and trans were just rebuilt and installed about 300 miles ago, so it is still in the break-in phase and runs perfect and strong!
This car also has brand new brakes and period correct radial whitewall tires. The door handles are shaved off, and there is an electric button under the front grill to open the driver’s side door.

Seller states:
Body
This is an all steel, built in the 1960’s style, Hot Rod. It is a clear California titled 1930 Model A Ford Roadster.
The body has the traditional channeling over the rails approx. 3.5”. It is painted gloss red and pin striped inside and outside by legendary striper Jimmy C. The battery is located in the trunk with a battery disconnect installed. The trunk is key lockable with a stock style Model A lock. The gas tank is also located in the trunk and has a fuel pressure regulator in the engine area. Inside door and kick panels are new. The custom bench seat was also re-upholstered. Windshield is new safety glass. Doors and deck lid work great. Stock firewall was done with the traditional reverse that recesses it. Headlights are old chrome Guides. It has an original ’32 grill shell and insert. The grill shell has been filled. The speedometer or odometer work great but need to be re-calibrated. It is an early Stewart Warner that currently shows 83,314 miles. I purchased this at a swap meet years ago. I have only driven this car since completion approximately 2000 miles. The tachometer also works great. The other gauges are early Stewart Warner green lines.
Chassis & Drive Train
Boxed Model A frame with split wishbones front with a 4” drop axel. 40 Ford front spindles and brakes were new when replaced approx. 2 years ago. Backing plates are polished chrome. Drop axel is also chrome. Rear end is a Dana 44 Mercury with shocks and leaf springs. Steering box and column are from a 1939 Ford.
It runs a 327 motor with camel hump heads that were recently re-built, has a mild cam, chrome oil pan, early Edlebrock 3×2 intake, progressively linked Stromberg 97 carbs, Sharp 3 pot fuel log, polished Edelbrock finned aluminum valve covers, and polished aluminum air scoops. The Sanderson headers are chrome. Radiator is a rebuilt Mustang 2 style 3 core with chrome fan, and running a high output aluminum water pump. The over flow is polished aluminum. Transmission is a turbo 350, with a locker shifter that I welded a 39 Ford top loader shifter to.
Wheels are 1940 power coated red steel 16”, with beauty rims and hub caps. Front and rear tires are traditional Firestone black walls. Fronts are 500-16 ribbed and rears are 700-16.
Car is a real blast to drive, runs very strong, reliable, starts right up, goes straight down the road, and stops. It is driven everywhere, with zero problems, and always attracts lot’s of attention.
