Here is another chance to own a way cool “Fat Fender” Chevy truck with a Texaco theme. It was restored to replicate a shop truck from the fifties. It has a good body, nice paint, immaculate interior, nice glass and bed. The trim and chrome are very nice also. The overall condition is outstanding and this truck runs great. Power comes from a completely rebuilt 235 “Thrift-Master” inline 6 cylinder motor. The previous owner spent about 3500 dollars on the mechanics. The motor has less than 500 miles on it and was detailed to show quality when installed. It is backed by a smooth shifting 3 speed manual transmission with a stalk mounted lever. (three-on-the-tree) I love it.. The interior was redone also and looks immaculate. Even the seat cover and headliner look good with neutral colors. The dash has quality gauges with clean clear lenses, working gauges, and speedometer. The bed was restored but is showing some wear on the wood and some of the steel separators but still looks good. The chassis is not as detailed as the rest of the truck but it is solid. There are a few little paint blems but over all it is slick. Check out the 5 matching reproduction wide white wall tires and the chrome grille guard really set off the bright red paint. The Texaco theme is very popular in our part of the country and seems to be a growing trend in the collector community. If you want an old truck for fun and car shows, this would make a good one. You would not believe the attention this truck gets when you drive it.

Seller states:
This auction is for a rare 1947 Pontiac Torpedo Convertible. This is an absolute barn find and you are seeing it just as we took it out of its storage. I always take the time to bring them in the garage, scrub and clean them up, clean the chrome and interiors and get them running good. Well this will be a first for me but I want it to be seen as we first recieved it. This car has the original flathead eight cylinder motor, 3 speed manual transmission. Only 17,945 actual miles!!! Has radio, heater, power top, 2 tone broadcloth and leather interior, exterior rocker moldings, fender skirts, front and rear bumper guards, wide white wall tires. As the story goes, this car was purchased new by a lady who went to the dealership for a new car. She wanted this car but not the color that it originally was (Parma Wine). She said that was too bright for her so the dealership offered to repaint the car the grey color it is now. She put approximately 12,000 miles on the car and then passed away. It was left to a relative who owned the car for just one day and then sold it to the gentleman I purchased it from in 1974. He has owned it since. He rarely drove the car and then put it up on blocks in his garage around 1979 and thats where it has been ever since. He assured me the car runs perfect. It is dusty inside and out from storage. When I picked it up, it was covered in blankets. The top is like new! The body is close to perfect! Outside and underside. The chrome looks like it will buff up nicely. I did notice the grill is painted but I know where a real nice one can be purchased. The interior will clean up nicely with the exception of the leather border that surrounds the seat, especially where your legs go. That portion will need replacement. We even have the boot that goes to the top when its down. The door jambs, cowl and in the trunk still have the original paint. The right person could paint this car back out to the original color again. It would be beautiful! I tried looking up the production figures on this but I cant find individual breakout. I know there are not many of these out there.
