Seller States:

You can have this killer steel car for what a fiberglass piece of crap one will cost. Please get clearance from your wife, priest, dog, bartender or whoever else you need to before bidding! This is an awesome all steel 1932 Ford roadster that is ready to have fun with today! It is a Brookville steel body that is in excellent condition. Recently hand pinstriped by the legendary Bo Huff’s son, Junior. Junior Huff, an accomplished striper, was mentored by both his father and Stella, and has been striping cars since the age of 5. In 2007, at the age of 16, he was the youngest co-presenter of The Von Dutch Stripers Award in the history of The Grand National Roadster Show. You can find a fiberglass 32 on every corner. When was the last chance you had to buy a steel one instead of a glass one for a decent price? This is no Rat Rod! It is a traditional style California look hot rod that is just cool. The car is registered as a 1932 Ford Roadster and has a clean, clear California title in hand. The car is painted in Semi-gloss black and the paint is nice but not perfect. It has a large journal 327 c.i. small block Chevy, Corvette finned aluminum valve covers, tri-power intake, etc. It is a TCI Turbo 350 automatic transmission. Four inch drop and drilled thick beam axle. Finned aluminum Buick drum brakes. Very trick (and expensive) Halibrand QuickChange rearend. Griffin aluminum radiator. Deluxe Banjo steering wheel. New steelies and caps with 16 inch big and little tires. The roadster runs and drives very well. I would not hesitate to fly in and drive it anywhere today. It has around 10,000 trouble free miles since it was completed and can be driven anywhere. I am not a 1932 Ford expert and neither are most people that tell me they are. This is a great opportunity to get your dream car that would make Henry proud. I am only selling because I already have a 1934 coupe and I just bought a 1936 cabriolet traditional hot rod.

1931Ford A-V8 Hot Rod Roadster

[nggallery id=38]

Awesome HAMB build. Killer traditional Ride.

Seller states:

Here is quite possibly the most traditional 1931 Ford A-V8 roadster available today. The chassis is a step boxed original 1932 Ford chassis with stock front crossmember using stock style 32 front engine mounts and a stock K-member with rear c-channel legs added for more torsional strength. The rear crossmember is 26-27 Ford Model T along with the T tapered leaf rear spring. 1932 Ford pedals are used converted to Hydraulic brakes with a stainless steel sleeved 1939 master cylinder. Steering is a rebuilt F1 with a 35 mast and column drop turned by a 38 Banjo wheel. E-brake is a stock 32 handle and works quite well. Front axle is an original 32 which has been dropped, chromed and drilled and all is positioned by an original, intact wishbone. A chromed Posies spring is used along with chromed 39 backing plates and drums. The rear is an original Halibrand Culver City quickchange using 40 cones and shortened 36 bolt on radius rods. Chrome P&J shocks are used on all four corners along with 40 wheels, smooth trim rings and 40 Deluxe caps. Tires are 7.00 and 5.50×16 Firestones and front spindles are 40 also. Rear brakes are 40 Ford with slip-on drums and functioning E-brake. The excellent engine in this car started as a 51 Ford 8BA V8 which is now .060 over, uses a EAB Merc cam with Johnson lifters, stock chrome fuel pump, shortened W headers with 1.75″ exhaust feeding both screw on capped 36 Ford driveshaft lakes pipes and full, out the back dual exhaust. Mufflers were not used nor are they needed. Ignition is Mallory and AC 12v finned coil. Fan is an 8RT belt driven item along with the generator and water pumps. Oil filter is a Filcoolator beehive. Transmission is a 38 with 40 gears connected to an 8BA flywheel with 40 style 10″ clutch and pressure plate. The driveshaft is a shortened 40 torque tube and all bearings, universals were new at time of construction during the last two years. The body on the car is an original 31 roadster correctly fitted to the 32 frame with a full steel floor from the seat back. Front floor is wood as was done by Henry. A ten gallon T tank is behid the seat with remote fill. Deck lid hinges are 51 Ford. The dash is an absolute work of art 41 Ford Super Deluxe which has been sliced and diced to fit and used Fenton chrome aftermarket trim. A stock 31 Deluxe top is fitted and has been chopped 3 inches along with the windshield. Tali lights are 46 Ford, head lights are 36 passenger lenses/rings on 35 pickup buckets. Original 32 grill/shell holds a modified Mustang radiator enclosed in a 32 tank. This car was constructed during the last two years by an absolute master, the workmanship and attention to detail is mind blowing. Everything functions as intended although the gas guage is not to be trusted and the speedo reads a little fast depending on the gears in the QC. Seat is built for a tall individual and shorter drivers may need to invest in pillows are do a little seat modification. The complete build history from beginning to end may be found on the HAMB, 30 pages of photos and info that reads like a Tardel book. Registration/title is a clear and open NYS 1931 Ford item.
