Seller states:

For Auction is a Real Deal Survivor 1929 Ford Roadster Pick Up from the 50’s. Current Title and Registration in California (good through March 2012). The Model A started it’s Hot Rod life in the early 50’s in Hayward, California. Never finished until discovered in 1999.

In the early 50’s the frame was heavily modified to get the 1929 Roadster PU cab low, reinforced cab with 2 inch pipe, fully chromed front a rear suspension from ’39-’40 Ford (nice patina now), juice brakes all around, drilled backing plates, 1950 331 Cadillac V8 overhead valve motor, Edelbrock 3×2 Intake w/Stromberg Carbs., 1937 LaSalle 3 speed transmission, chrome steering box and column, Edelbrock finned aluminum valve covers, custom lake headers, cut down original ’32 grill shell, 1932 passenger car dash and reversed 16 inch rims on back for clearance.

In 1999 I had the motor rebuilt (same Cadillac motor), added Headlights and a shortened Model T bed, found a 6×2 Edelbrock Intake w/6 Strombeg Carbs. (only running two center carbs.), 11 Gallon Aluminum Gas Tank, Stewart Warner Gauges, 2 inch chopped down windshield and stanchions, Schroeder Race Wheel, big and little whitewall tires from Coker, removable roll bar, wiring and she was on the road. Cab was never removed from the chassis during rebuild.

Since then, this car has been to several car events; Billetproof, West Coast Customs, Primer Nationals, Viva Las Vegas, Asphalt Invitational, Pasadena Reliability Run, etc. It gets loads of attention everywhere it goes, and has been in several magazines, from Street Rodder, Hop Up, American Rodder, Rolls & Pleats, Car Kulture DeLuxe, Smokin’ Shutdown, Speed & Chrome, etc. (see pics). The car gets attention because it is representative of a true 1950’s Hot Rod. Heck it IS a 1950’s Hot Rod.

Older pics show the car at Paso Robles in the early 2000’s, Bonneville and West Capitol Circle Track Reunion in the mid-to-Late 2000’s. Haven’t had it out much lately, so it’s time for somebody else to enjoy. It’s a blast to drive and will get plenty of attention when you show it! Run’s and Drives now, but will need some fine tuning by the new Owner. Send me an ebay message with your e-mail address and I can send more pics.

What You Get Now: all of the items described above except the chopped windshield and stanchions (comes with stock ones). A 1932 Truck Dash instead of the 1932 passenger dash (I’m in the process of setting up the gauge panel). E&J headlights are gone, so you get the BLC headlights on the car now. Don’t miss your chance to own a piece of California Hot Rod History. Low Reserve for this “one-of-a-kind” Hot Rod. You will not be disappointed to own this unique car.
