How do you classify timeless 50′s style? I am not sure about you but the only ride to stop me in my tracks is a tastefully done tail dragging early Merc Lead Sled! Getting the right look and feel takes superior craftsmanship and incredible creativity! Cars that meet all of these categories are special indeed and rarely become available for sale. This beautiful 51 Merc has obviously been massaged to perfection by some masterful hands. Let’s face it, getting it right is not an easy task. So step back, step up and relive some “Young Love”…
The lid has been chopped approximately 3.5 inches, nosed w/rounded hood corners, frenched headlights, 1953 Desoto grille & front bumper, dummy spot lights, decked w/smoothed rear bumper, 1950 Merc rear window, frenched 1954 Merc taillights, shaved door handles, Remote door openers w/hidden emergency release to open driver’s door, factory side trim, 1951 Merc fender skirts and Caddy hub caps w/wide white radials. Finished off in a Heart Throbbing Hot Red professional mix combined with subtle old school style flames. Flat out sexy and just right, you will fall in “Young Love” all over again…
Hop inside to a recently updated interior where 10K was spent on the threads, interior chrome and paint. Features include White with red tuck-n-roll inserts including trunk area, Embroidered hearts in kick panels and trunk, Chrome garnish moldings including around windshield, Custom made to match paint tear-drop dash knobs, In dash AM/FM cassette deck with power antenna, Tilt-steering column, custom steering wheel, horn button, Air Conditioning, Newport Engineering wiper system and more…
Completing the package and the most important part is the task setting up an enjoyable ride. It sits on a 1974 Pontiac frame equipped with a Pontiac 350 engine and automatic transmission, power steering, power drum brakes, air-bags in rear with on-board air compressor.
This is a Classic Car , just a no nonsense Coupe, I dig the Grill and the wheels as well as the interior. What a nice Ride.
