Rad little 1932 ford Roadster, I would be proud to own and drive this Gem.
Seller states:
1932 ford cabriolet, henry ford body and frame, I built and have owned this car for 30+ years, The car went thru a full and thorough mechanical restoration 3 years ago, and has approximately 2000 miles since then. Some of the chrome was redone at that time. The body and interior is untouched since it was built, The body is henry steel with a 3″ chop, The top is custom and lifts off, door hinges are molded and the rear panel is filled at the ends. The car has a rumble and is fully upholstered like the inside. Tonneau cover snaps over the package tray area when top is off. The dash insert is an original pierce arrow with early sw flat bezel curved glass. The tach is a 5″ sw vac-tach driven off the rear of the generator. The car runs a fully balanced 3 5/16 X 4″, 276 inch flathead, using ross pistons, ss valves, ported and relieved, literio l-100 camshaft with isky springs, early orig edelbrock block heads,, The blower set up is gmc 371, I took this blower setup off a old custom 41 mercury convertible from pa in 1979. The blower setup is complete as it came off the merc. It has a 3 belt drive and is fully chromed and polished, The intake manifold is cast and has no name, it is not a navarro. The blower was rebuilt and clearanced when the mechanics were done on the car, runs 5 lbs of boost, its like new. The headers on the car are a original set of belond lakes headers bought by a friend in 1953. mufflers are douglas steel pack. they have been on the car for 29 years and are still solid and sound great. The car runs a aluminum flywheel with a auburn clutch and a 40 ford trans, column shift, back to a halibrand rear running 3.19 gears. The frame is fully boxed front to rear, model a crossmembers front and rear, When looking at this car keep in mind that this car was built 30 years ago, It was built with real parts, Not a thrown together in the past 5 years to look like an old hot rod. The car has a 30 year old lacquer job and is showing its age, lots of patina, but is well preserved, The car was pinstriped by big daddy ed roth in 1984, his name is on the deck lid, I can go on and on about details on the car and write a description 2 pages long, but I think the pictures show what the car is, This is a tried, trued and tested old hot rod. Its a beautiful driving car. Its needs nothing. If you want an old hot rod it would be hard to find a better one in my opinion. You can find the car in some early- mid 80′s magazines, Its had a few changes mostly the 324 olds engine I ran in it for the first year, The car is for sale to overseas and international buyers, please contact me if you have true interest, I have detailed pictures of anything you want to see, It has current registration and clear arizona title.
