Find the 1959 Peerless for sale on Ebay

Seller states:

Rare

PEERLESS GT2

VEHICLE HISTORY: The current owners purchased this rare British GT car in 1999 from a widow in Delaware. Her husband purchased it in 1987, after it had gone through a cosmetic restoration, which included the installation of a roll bar. He installed a racing harness, and a VSCCA log book documents a couple of East Coast vintage races.

Initially the current owners took turns driving this Peerless casually and for fun as a summer sports car. They displayed it at British Car Days, where it always got lots of attention. They even did some Rally Tours with the car. But these owners are avid vintage racers, with a half-dozen race cars in competition. Soon the Peerless ended up in long term storage. Now they are loosing some of their storage, and selling the Peerless will free up some storage space for their race cars. In addition, it will provide an opportunity for a new caretaker to bring this rare car back to life. The body and interior are nice enough, but it needs some mechanical work (see inspection report).

Seller states:

1948 Chrysler Windsor Highlander Convertible

Chassis No. 70683523

Labeled as the Chrysler group, the full-size Chrysler Windsor was introduced in the 1940′s. Larger than a mid-size and sitting on a wheelbase of more than 2.79 meters, the full-size Windsor was sold from the 1940′s through the 1960′s.

Equipped with the newly developed Fluid Drive transmission system that allowed the driver to shift without using the clutch, the Windsor was a rear wheel drive car that had an S6 configuration. The 1940′s Windsor was capable of producing 108 bhp at 3600 rpm.

Until the 1961 model year, the Windsor was the Chrysler price leader until the Chrysler Newport took the spot. The Windsor name was replaced in 1962 by the non-lettered series Chrysler 300.

Offered here is the most desirable model of the Windsor series. This Highlander convertible was recently pulled from long-term storage and is now ready for restoration! Finished in a navy blue with a maroon Highlander Plaid interior, this nostalgic collectable is quite the find. Although, fully capable of driving as is, the body and interior upholstery show years of patina and age. The Windsor starts and drives with ease and the electric convertible top still functions properly. This handsome example is a chance to own an icon of American postwar prosperity!

Desirable Open-Top Highlander!
Fresh from Long-Term Storage!
Ideal for light restoration or Drive As-Is!
