The Speedster reminds me of old board track racing for some reason, I guess its the big old fuel tank in the back there. Dig this 1927 Ford Model T for sale.

It makes me Happy When they keep the interior kind of plain, and dont put bucket seats and giant till columns in it, to me that really detracts from a car, so this Merc makes me happy.

Spent the day at Woodies on the Wharf, got the old 1941 Ford woody out of the garage and drive it down to the wharf today. Good turnout of Awesome Woodies a few caught my eye as usual, to me the Star of the show was a Mercury wagon with an Ardun engine in it. Very very cool. Saw tons of my local town car buddies wandering around and checking out all the Wood
Buicks, Packards, Ford, Chevy, Rolls, Pontiac, Dodge, Chrysler, Desoto, there was a very nice variety of cars, with lots and lots of traditional and original cars. All in all a Perfect day ! Here are the photos I snapped of todays event.

Rik Hoving who is an expert on custom cars wrote this about this car.
The Sam Barris 1940 Mercury on ebay??? Nah don’t think so. Not sure why the seller even think it is, because this car obviously has 1939 Mercury front sheet metal and a 39 dashboard…. But.. there is a BUT. This car does have some Barris history. In fact this car was constructed from a large portion of the remains of the Barris built Johnny Zaro 1940 Mercury. more info on this on the CUSTOM CAR PHOTO ARCHIVE SITE. http://public.fotki.com/Rikster/11_car_photos/beautiful_custom_cars/barris-1/1939-mercury-conver/
Whatever the case this is a bitchen Car, I love it.

Spent the day with awesome people driving up the mountains through the redwoods and up on the Skyline overlooking the Pacific Ocean, then down through The green grassy hills and to the Sea with a very sunny and warm ride down the coast and back home. My buddy Clay drove my 28 Flathead powered Roadster and I drove my 36 ford on its first long trip, It was successful, the only casualties were my driver door wont open and my Mercury Temp guage stopped reporting. Both easy Fixes, 100 miles and it drove great, super stoked. here are a few pics I snapped of the run.
