Seller states: The NHRA has produced many legends over the years, with none more pioneering than Gene Snow. Gene “The Snowman” was a very important icon of the sixties and seventies drag racing heritage. Most famous for his Nitro Funny Car endeavors, he campaigned this car in competition, driven by Terry Pringle. They won the spring nationals with this car in 1968 with an ET of 10:15. Dodge built these HEMI equipped converted GTS Hardtop models as purpose built race cars to be finished by Hurst Corporation to qualify for NHRA Super Stock “B” class and AHRA Grand Stock circuit. This car was the third of 57 units in the HEMI Dart registry. It has been totally restored to 1968 specs in every detail with all date coded parts. The dyno sheet shows 601 horsepower produced through the original 68 Holley carbs, original Hooker headers, an original race block, and 1 of 50 Magnesium intakes. Hundreds of hours were spent in research and development to authenticate and restore this Drag Racing treasure. This one is equipped with the heavy duty 727 full valve body automatics. Other notable features on this factory lightweight are acid dipped doors, Lexan glass, lightweight fenders, doors, hood, and bumpers. The car is absolutely authentic, accurate, and immaculate. A true museum piece that is breathtaking to look at and deafening to listen to. If you do not think 600 horsepower could shake a 19,000 square foot building, you would be wrong! We have plenty of documentation and photos for the serious investor. Own a true piece of Drag Racing history. This rare piece was restored by Billy Mulder of Brenham, Texas. He was our technician when we were in Brenham. Billy I got to say you did one Hell of a job! Over $150,000 dollars invested in just the restoration. This car has a great history. It was actually found in a junkyard. Find it here on EBAY
