1950 Ford – Miss Loved / Cross Country Custom
Since I first started building this car, my intentions were to sell her after I enjoyed her in order to support my shop. I would hate to see her go, as would all my pals who helped so much, but I know it will be only to better my workshop. In doing so it would mean that I could build more kustom cars in the future. I have had my fun, building this car in about 7 months with countless hours and sleepless nights. Putting some 12,000 miles since completion in January 2011. Yes I have driven this car never trailered! Don’t have any major issues to report off. Now its time to let somebody else enjoy the ride.

Seller states:
Are you searching for just the right 1932 Ford Roadster in a world full of cookie cutters and sub-par Hot Rods? Does flashy paint & flames turn you off? Are you looking for bare-bones perfection? Trust me, I know the feeling. Please take a moment to look at these photos because I bet you have just found your car. Feast your eyes on this beautiful, award-winning 1932 Ford HiBoy Roadster. This all-steel masterpiece won ‘Best of Show’ @ Viva Las Vegas earlier in the year and there were a lot of very cool Hot Rods at that event. The all-natural metal look stands out big time in a sea of flashy paint jobs. It all started w/ a brand new all- steel Brookville body. The decision was made not to do the usual routine and apply bondo, smooth it out and then paint the body. It took hundreds of man-hours to polish and smooth out the body to make it perfectly straight without using any bondo, etc. The final result is simply outstanding as the body is laser straight all of the way around. ‘Sharkhide’ was then generously applied to protect the body from the elements. Jimmy Shine from ‘So-Cal Speed Shop’ built the swept-back windshield and the canvas convertible top specifically for this Roadster and they look absolutely incredible. The brass elements really add a touch of class. It’s one of the only Roadsters I have ever seen that looks as good with the top up as it does when it’s down. When you step back and really look at this Roadster in person, your jaw will drop. It is visually stunning from every angle. The body sits on a ‘So-Cal Speed Shop’ chassis w/ ‘Pete & Jakes’ front suspension and ‘Posies’AJ40NH single leaf rear suspension. A ‘So-Cal’ Vega Steering Box was used, as well as disc brakes up front and drum brakes on the rear. All lines were custom-bent and braided steel lines were used in the flex areas w/ pressure valves & a proportioning valve on the rear. Pop open the door and you will see the All Bare-Steel Interior w/ a Black Vinyl Seat, (5) Omega Kustom Instrument Co. Gauges and the modified 32” Steering Column. The AM/FM/ Sirius Satellite Controller is mounted neatly under the dash. The bare bones, industrial look of the interior really fits the whole scheme of this ultra-cool Roadster. She’s powered by a Chevrolet 350/300 engine featuring a Roller Cam, Vortec Heads, Holley 650 cfm Carburetor w/ Electric Choke, Ceramic Coated Headers and a custom 2” Dual Exhaust system w/ Glass Pack mufflers tucked away neatly underneath. The engine is linked to a 700R4 Transmission w/ lockup and a 9” Ford Rear-End w/ 3.50 gear ratio. She starts, idles, runs, drives, steers and brakes beautifully and will snap your head back hard when you apply your right foot to the floor! The automatically controlled 16” Spal Fan w/ custom shroud keeps her running nice & cool. Other features include: ‘So-Cal Speed Shop’ Fuel Cell, frame-mounted Holley Fuel Pump, frame-mounted Fuel Filter, Optima Battery w/ billet mount in the trunk and all new fuse block / custom wiring w/ large 1 gauge Battery Cables & redundant grounds. Again, this beautiful 1932 Ford Roadster looks incredible from every angle and has just the right stance. She sits on 16” Ford Wire Wheels w/ S.T.A. 6.50X16 tires on the rear and Firestone 5.00X16 tires on the front. With only 295 miles since completion of the build, you are basically buying a brand new 1932 Ford Roadster. I have had several calls about photographing this car for various publications, so I am sure the new owner will have no problem getting this car in some Hot Rod magazines. Again, if you have been searching for just the right Ford Roadster to separate yourself from all of the fancy-painted cookie cutters, you have found your car!
