1940 Mercury George Barris KUSTOM CUSTOM for sale

The Sam Barris 1940 Mercury on ebay??? Nah don’t think so. Not sure why the seller even think it is, because this car obviously has 1939 Mercury front sheet metal and a 39 dashboard…. But.. there is a BUT. This car does have some Barris history. 1951 Jaguar XK120 Roadster Numbers matching. Green with a tan interior. 87,000 miles. Same owner since 1959. Complete with top, side curtains, jack, lug wrench, original owners manual, original factory shop manual. Car looks very nice, has a few minor paint chips and some crazing on one side skirt.Body is straight with no signs of ever being hit, underside is clean and rust free except for some rust on the bottom piece of sheet metal that houses the door hinges, however the hinges are solid and there is absolutely no sag to the doors at all.Interior is nicely done in vinyl. Car was repainted once in 1980. Car runs out nicely and feels good on the road.
