1934 Buick 66C Convertible Coupe, AACA National First Prize recipient, one of only 253 produced and rumored to be one of just 8 known to exist, the 60 Series was Buick’s 2nd most prestigious line. Equipped with dual sidemounts with metal covers and mirrors, truck rack with trunk, artillery wheels, Tan finish with Brown leather upholstery, Brown carpet, Tan Convertible Top and Boot, correct jack and lug wrench, front bumper guards, 278cid straight 8 cylinder engine (engine #2894123), 3-speed standard shift transmission, Jaeger clock, reverse light, Firestone Deluxe Champion wide-white-wall tires, comprehensive body-off restoration in 1992, odometer reading: 2,101 (actual miles unknown).
The original owners of this particular car were Mr. & Mrs. Francis Boardman Crowninshield. Mrs. Crowninshield – better know by her maiden name, Louise du Pont – became one of America’s first major historical preservationists and was a founding member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The Crowninshield’s kept this car at their Marblehead, MA estate and used it sparingly as they spent most of the year at their Florida estate on Boca Grande island. Also included in sale is a period correct General Motors Autoradio model #135.
Cool 1939 ford truck ready to roll, lots of extra parts. I love Beer keg grills ! I am really tempted on this one as its close to me and has a nice flathead. But I have too many cars.

Hello, Have here a 1939 Ford Pickup. I bought this Truck less than a year ago with the intention of doing a “Rolling Restoration” on it and just cruising it around without breaking the Bank restoring it. Well, Plans changed after I bought a different project… So heres the low down; Truck is NOT restored and has never been restored. It has the 85HP flathead V8 that runs flawlessly. It does have a rear main seal leak. Has the three speed floor shift Transmission that jumps out of 2nd gear occasionally. It stops and steers remarkably well. Doesn’t wander all over the road. There is absolutely zero rust on the cab and front end. The bed on the other hand is in need of a bit of work. I would have to say that it is savable though. Previous owner put on new steel running boards. Only gauges that work are the oil pressure and speedometer.
I bought quite a few new part to install on it, but never did.
List of new parts: all new glass including windshield (tinted green), stainless steel mirrors (hinge mount), motor mounts, dual exhaust conversion pipes, speedway super 97 carb, electric fuel pump, blue dot tail lights and brackets, headlight conversion kit (quartz), speedway conversion bell housing to convert to a T-5 transmission with all new release shafts, fork and bearing, Low mile T-5 transmission, complete conversion clutch assy, window and inside door handles, new steel floor pan, rear main seal conversion kit with gaskets, 15×8 wire wheels that I had powdercoated Coca-Cola Red (NEAT), a used old school heater and glove box compartment.
If a person installed all these parts, rewired it and installed new rubber and weatherstripping, I’d have to say it could be driven just about anywhere you wanted to go. Truck has current registration in California. (I bought 1939 California Worlds Fair license plates for it but they are not the ones it is registered too. They just look cool)
