1962 Daimler Dart SP250 vintage racer

[nggallery id=34]
Awesome British Race car with a 8 Cylindar Su carburated engine. I dig it a lot.

Seller states:beautiful 1962 Daimler SP250. A wonderful sports coupe with many upgrades to support its certification by VSCCA and VRG. We have all the original parts including the original number matching engine, windshield, bumpers and the sought after optional removable hardtop. You could have a ferocious street machine with a racing history or you could bring it back to the track.

I am not the man who built or raced this car so we can only have so much of a conversation about that. The Daimler was a regular at Lime Rock Raceway. The Daimler 2.5 liter V-8 hemi that was built to race was prepared by Tivvy himself of Tivvy Autocraft. Tivvy is one of the founders of The Vintage Racing Group and he builds fast cars. If you want to read about Tivvy look at britishracecar.com, put a slash after it with Tivvy Shenton-Jaguar-XK140.

At any rate this is one fast car. I have seen it give the Jags and big Healeys a serious run for their money.

The original steering rack was replaced with one from a Triumph TR and the original 48 spoke wheels were replaced with 64 spoke wheels. I have the originals. The engine was built by Tivvy at the cost of $11,000.00 and the car has had two races since then. It has not been raced the last two seasons and needs to be prepped to go back out there.

It runs great.

It is running on Jaguar e type SU carbs and the intake manifold was ported in and out. The Daimler uses a Jaguar 4 speed Moss box. Tivvy built the one-off bell housing needed. The rear axle is Sunbeam Tiger MKIII. The brake calipers have stainless pistons and use braided stainless lines. The car sits on Dunlop racing tires. There is a fuel cell in the trunk.

The roll bar is a custom bolt on type to ease a transition back to the street. I have the original windshield and the side windows with all of their hardware. I have the heater and other such add ons that were not needed or wanted while racing. I have a tonneau that fits the roll bar and the original tonneau. I have the original soft top.

1960 ALFA ROMEO GIULIETTA SPRINT COUPE “ROAD OR RACE!!”

[nggallery id=27]

Act fast only 1 day left on this car, its been for sale a couple times and should be a lot of fun

Seller states:
The Classic Car Gallery is proud to offer this gorgeous 1969 ALFA ROMEO GUILEITTA SPRINT 1300. The car has been set up for vintage racing, and is currently registered on the street. She spent most of her life in Europe, and carries FIA PAPERS, which show her ownership history from new. In addition she carries a copy of he original Automobile Club d’Italia/ The body is incredibly straight, and the red paint is good. All of the exterior trim and bright work is correct and in wonderful condition. We have been around the car with a paint meter, and there was very little filler used throughout. The interior is excellent, with 2 correct leather sport seats, a roll bar, and red carpets in great condition. She has a full roll cage, hard points for racing harnesses, deleted bumpers, tow hook, emergency electric cut-off and is eligible for almost any vintage race or rally. The engine is the venerable 1290cc 4-cylinder Alfa motor, built to a high power level. She has been set up like a VELOCE, with racing cams, DUAL WEBER CARBURETTORS, a 5-SPEED TRANSMISSION, and a heavy duty rear end. She is very well sorted, puts out good power, runs cool, smokes little, and leaks less than she should. The underside is excellent, as is the exhaust system. The car has 4-wheel finned Aluminum drum brakes, the linings are new, and the car stops with authority. The 5-speed transmission shifts well, the clutch is new, and the rear differential was just rebuilt. The correct wheels are shod with PIRELLI radial tires. The car is a blast to drive!!! She corners like she’s on rails, and the rebuilt suspension offers great feedback and control. Bid with confidence, as this ALFA ROMEO is ready for street or track!!!

1932 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 replica

I have a few of these kinda of replicas and they can be a ton of fun for under $20,000 sure they are not the real thing but if ya don’t have an extra million or more to spare this is a fun way to live the dream.

Seller Writes: Originally hired in the 1920′s to design a race winning machine for Alfa Romeo, engineer Vittorio Jano was reassigned to road car development after the company retired from racing at the end of two very successful seasons. The first road car he produced was the 6C 1500 launched early in 1927. While the six cylinder engined Alfa was designed specifically for road use, the higher performance versions proved to be very competitive on the track. In fact the 6C won the Mille Miglia for three years running. Encouraged by the success of the 6C, Alfa Romeo brought out Jano’s old P2 Grand Prix car for 1930 and commissioned him to design a brand new sports racer and GP car for 1931. The new 8C 2300 sports racer has gone into history as one of the finest and most successful racing cars ever constructed. One of the reasons the 8C was so successful was the nimble and lightweight chassis. Between 1931 and 1934 a total of 188 chassis were produced in three series, many of which were raced in period.

This particular car is a fine replica of this VERY RARE $3,000,000 automotive legend. The details and patina make this car a true one of a kind.the right and rare dual fold down windshield adds to the original look of the Alfa.
the leather straps and genuine wire wheels, this car has the million dollar look for under $20,000!! Breathtaking looks and it runs GREAT too!!
This beauty is guaranteed to turn heads where ever you go. It’s ready to drive anywhere your heart desires.
This car is not to be compared to the other replicas out there. With this one the beauty is in the details, the vintage racing style lettering and decals, the authentic spare tire on the side, the leather shrouds on the sides of the front wheels, the aged patina, the authentic lights and the other details make this car a real collectors find!!

Find it here on Ebay for under $20,000
